THE PROGRAMME

The programme has been created in collaboration with the prestigious Noa Ink Tattoo Studio, one of the most important tattoo realities in Italy, with 5 studios all around the country. The founder, Noa Yanni, is an internationally renowned tattooer with 20 years of experience in the world of tattoo both as an artist and as a studio
owner. This partnership will guarantee a level of teaching and a learning experience out of the ordinary, and all the tattoo classes will take place in a real tattoo studio,
allowing the participants to have a real taste of this amazing art’s world.
Tattooing has been part of human culture for thousands of years, but just nowadays it is starting to be extensively accepted and considered as a real art. From a symbol of the underground world, it has rapidly grown and become a form of contemporary art, diffused and appreciated all over the world.
If you are into tattoos, as a passion or as a hobby, or more generally into arts; if you ever wondered how it feels to take the machine in your hands and try doing a  tattoo… this is a unique an amazing opportunity. An introduction to the art of tattooing, starting from scratches, addressed not to professionals, but to people who  simply love or appreciate this form of art and would like to try it out, see how it feels, and eventually from there, who knows, decide to make a profession out of it!

TATTOO LESSONS

Different Techniques
Over the centuries, various tattooing techniques have been developed, each reflecting the technological advancements and cultural contexts of their time. Traditional hand-poked methods, still used in some cultures today, involve manually inserting ink into the skin with a sharp instrument. This method is often slow but allows for precise and detailed work. With the advent of modern technology, the electric tattoo machine was invented in the late 19th century, revolutionizing the process by making it faster and less painful. Today, tattoo artists employ a range of tools, including rotary and coil machines, to achieve different effects and cater to various styles.
History of Tattoo
Tattooing is an ancient practice, with evidence of tattoos dating back to at least 5,000 years ago. Indifferent cultures, tattoos have served numerous purposes, from rites of passage and symbols of status or identity to protective talismans and expressions of personal beliefs. Ancient Egyptians used tattoos as a form of healing
and protection, while in Polynesian cultures, tattoos were deeply symbolic, representing a person’s lineage and achievements. In Japan, intricate tattoo designs, known as Irezumi, became an integral part of their cultural heritage, often associated with spiritual and decorative.
