Linguaviva was founded in Florence in 1976 with the goal of promoting Italian language learning and everything that surrounds it. We were one of the first schools to organise study trips that combine high-level language and cultural education.

Thanks to the strength of our curricula, we have been able to enhance our educational offerings by introducing a wider range of courses and expanding our choice of destinations.
In line with our philosophy, we made the decision to branch out from Florence, renowned for its rich artistic and cultural heritage, to Milan, the vibrant capital of creativity, fashion, and design. In addition to these two iconic cities, we have decided on the perfect destination for summer study holidays for young students: Lignano, Pearl of the Adriatic Sea.

LEVELS
We offer 13 different language learning levels. The levels identified by the Linguaviva Learning Scale include study pathways suitable for everyone from absolute beginners to experts. Our language levels refer to the Common European Framework: A1, A2, B1, B2 and C1.

All of our students take a placement test to assess their existing language skills. Based on the results, the most appropriate course of study is identified from the 13 study levels on the Linguaviva Learning Scale, which correspond to levels A1, A2, B1, B2, C1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. During and at the end of the course, progress is monitored by tests.
